I’m very pleased with the way this Holderness tank designed by Cassie LaFollette turned out. The yarn is Quince & Co Kestrel in Byzantium. This top will be an integral part of my summer wardrobe for years to come. It’s the beginning of my Dārta sweater, designed by Inese Sang for Neons and Neutrals. Knitting pair after pair of Socks vs. Fingerless Mitts this summer, with engaging stripes dyed by KnitSpinFarm. I’m loving it. This is pair no. 4.

editwhidbey.com. Holly keeps three seamstresses at NPL busy year-round. She has some custom modifications and doesn’t carry all of their styles, but has a large selection of beautiful garments. Unfortunately, the shop has suspended online sales for this year.
A friend tried on that jacket you’re eyeing earlier this summer. Super cute but somewhat narrow in the shoulders, FYI.
Hi, Amy.
Thank you for your kind words. I was struck by the poem and confess I did not listen to the author’s version, as I don’t like to be too influenced by it before I record. I appreciate the way Villareal weaves several disparate ideas together with imagery. Looking forward to wrapping up my Blue summer in style.
Hi, Nancy:
Thank you so much for your compliment. I feel incredibly exposed in terms of my health and my new look, so every little encouragement counts.
NPL retail-style? You DON’T say. Wow. That is amazing. Try the LYON pant. I am eager to know what you think of them. I think my next purchase is a cropped jacket in an army-like green. I have a fast-fashion version from the early years of my teaching >20 years ago, that I am looking to replace.
The poem by Laura Villareal literally stopped me in my tracks as I was on my morning walk listening to your podcast. The imagery and content of the poem struck me motionless. I guess that it was a good poem can do! Also, you look beautiful; your bravery is an inspiration.
You look fab-u-lous, Sara! I live in Not Perfect Linen tops and dresses year-round – so lucky to have one of the few retail outlets for NPL right here on the island – but haven’t tried their pants yet. Yours look great. Also love your version of Blue (more than the poets, I must say!).
