Recipes
In 2014, I set a goal to experiment with products from the bulk bins in my local health food store, try new recipes, and develop some recipes of my own. Participants used #bulkbinscal to tag their contributions on social media.
In 2015, I invited Yarns at Yin Hoo listeners to join me in an exploration of ground zero in food preparation: The Pantry. Together, we will examine the physical space of our kitchens and kitchen storage, the history of the pantry, methods of food storage, issues of economy, and the many skills required to cook delicious food with “what’s on hand.” It’s my assumption that skilled cooks have well-stocked pantries, but what exactly IS a well-stocked pantry? Use #powerpantry on social media, and join in.

Hi, Jenny.
Thank you for your message and for your long-time listenership. I took a look back to try and find that recipe, but I didn’t have any luck. Sadly, it’s NOT in my dinner rotation and that reminded me that I really need to make a list of dinner reliables as this school year heats up and I am short on energy.
I miss talking EZ with Dr. Lily and look forward to seeing her soon. Our collaboration is one of my proudest moments as a podcaster and I’m so pleased to have helped to put that content out into the world in audio form!
Hi Sara: I’ve listened to and enjoyed your podcasts for a long time. In one of your podcasts, you gave a recipe for a quesadilla using: cannellini beans, pumpkin, cheese, kale (maybe) and flour tortillas. The only spice I can remember you using was cumin. They were delicious. Would you happen to remember the recipe? I’m hoping it’s in your regular rotation of dinners. Also, you had interviewed a woman who was an expert on Elizabeth Zimmerman. Absolutely great series. Thank you
